Why have I been charged late penalty and interest charges on my tax bill?

To avoid late penalties or interest charges on your tax bill, payments must reach the Revenue Services office before or on the due date. If taxes and charges are overdue, payments are applied to the oldest outstanding balance first. Penalty, interest, and other fees will apply to any overdue amounts.
